The text tool included in Paint 3D is also easy to use. While you can make all the standard text customizations like bold or underline, change the color, or create large or small text, Paint 3D also creates 3D text that pops out of the image or can even be planted directly onto a 3D object. Paint 3D stickers come in the form of shapes like lines, curves, squares, and stars; traditional stickers like a cloud, swirl, rainbow, and facial features; and surface textures. You can also make your own stickers from an image. Stickers work with the 2D canvas as well as to 3D models, and the process is the same for both. Click or tap a sticker from any of those categories and then draw it directly onto the canvas to access the selection box like you see in the image above. From there, resize and reposition the sticker, but it’s not finalized until you select the Stamp button on the right side of the box. If you click or tap the Make 3D button before stamping, the shape, sticker, or texture won’t be stuck to the 2D canvas but instead float off of it like other 3D objects. After choosing one of the text tools, click and drag anywhere on the canvas to open a text box that you can write in. The text options to the right let you change the text type, size, color, alignment within the box, and more. The 2D text tool also lets you add a background fill color to instantly add color behind the text. Use the selection box to rotate the text and adjust the size and position of the box to customize where the text can flow. If using 3D text, you can also position it in a 3D manner, like behind or in front of other 3D objects. With both 2D and 3D text, click outside the selection box to save the changes.
